Silver Lake Cottage
Another rendition of Silver Lake. I'm trying to shake up my palette a little bit - use colors where I normally wouldn't.

Boise Residential
In Boise the garage is behind the house. This dirt lane is how everyone accesses their garage. One lane per block.

Cottages on Silver Lake
This was started the last hour or so before the sun went behind the trees. I took a photo at the time and finish it later.

Houses Next Door
This was painted outside. There were alot of clouds, some rain, some sun. By the time I finished, it was late in the afternoon, but no clouds. So there was alot of changing shadows and light. I guess I was lucky to finish before dark.

Yellow Tablecloth
This was done outside. It always feels like a mad race painting outside. Much got eliminated.

Two Silos
This was my submission for Karin Jurick's Different Strokes from Different Folks. I'm not too crazy about the composition. I think the silos just be more to the right, but I liked the silly field to the right of them for some reason, so this is what I ended up with.

Farm with Two Silos #2
Okay, here's my second attempt to my previous post. Just when I think I wanna get all crazy and use some highly saturated colors, either I have no clue how to mix them or I lay them down and think - jeez, and proceed to obliterate them. What's up with that?

Farm with Two Silos
This is my first attempt for Karin Jurick's Different Strokes challenge. I hope to do a few more in different color themes - we'll see...

One Orange
6 x 6 oil on canvas panel SOLDI had done an under painting of this months ago. Instead of doing a total paint over, I decided to just lay some color in using the under painting. The orange is long gone, and as I worked the under painting disappeared, and of course I wasn't careful to pay much attention to my underpainting. I don't normally work this way, but next time I'll try to be more careful.

White House Off the Road
I was attracted to this seen because of all the color that was going on in the field. There is now a huge church to the left of this little house in big woods and an expanse of pavement right behind it. You don't even notice the house. It takes you awhile to realize the house is still there.
